Many also react to mammalian by-products like gelatin (found in gummy vitamins and gel capsules), dairy products, and ingredients derived from mammals such as lard, tallow, and carrageenan. Safe alternatives include poultry (chicken, turkey, duck), fish, seafood, eggs, and all plant-based foods.

What medications are safe for Alpha-Gal Syndrome?

Many medications contain hidden mammalian ingredients. Gel capsules and softgels often contain bovine or porcine gelatin. Safe alternatives include tablets, caplets, liquids, and capsules made with vegetable-based HPMC. What are the 4 sensitivity levels of Alpha-Gal Syndrome?

4. User Accounts

VectorShield does not require an account to use core features. If you choose to provide an email address for updates or quiz results, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information.

5. Acceptable Use

VectorShield has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Post, upload, or share content that is objectionable, obscene, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory, defamatory, or that promotes self-harm
Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or abuse another user, or incite others to do so
Post health or dietary advice you know to be false, or claim a food, product, or medication is Alpha-Gal safe when you have no basis for saying so
Submit false or misleading product reports
Post spam, advertising, or repeated unsolicited content
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use automated systems to access the App without permission
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Evade a block, suspension, or content removal by creating another account

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, and code, is owned by HutchWare, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

7. User-Submitted Content, Moderation, and Enforcement

If you submit product reports, corrections, community posts, comments, photos, videos, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content to improve our services. You represent that you have the right to submit such content, and you remain responsible for it.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that violates Section 5 is not permitted, and accounts that post it lose access.

How we moderate:

Filtering. Submitted text is screened automatically before it is published, and content failing that screen is rejected.
Reporting. Every community post and comment can be flagged from within the App. Reports are private.
Blocking. You can block any member from within the App. Their content is removed from your feed immediately, and blocking notifies us so we can review the account.
Our response. We review every report and act within 24 hours. Objectionable content is removed, and the user who posted it is ejected from the community.

We may remove content and terminate accounts at our discretion, without notice, to enforce these Terms. Because VectorShield is used to make food and medication safety decisions, we treat knowingly false safety claims as a serious violation.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUTCHWARE, LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, ALLERGIC REACTIONS, OR MEDICAL EXPENSES.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HutchWare, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
